Without a Net and Baked by Susan

Welcome back music fans my blog about the band Without a Net

In this post we highlight the special relationship that has grown between the band and local busienss Baked by Susan. Long time friends of the band, Susan has hosted several band events at their previous location in the upper village and now at their new location on Riverside drive.

Susan O’Keefe, her husband and 3 sons serve up fresh baked goods and a variety of tasty treats and have established themselves as a beloved member of the local community.

Baked by Susan has also been recognized as winner of the Best of Westchester award for every year since 2013.

Running a Bakery is a 7 day a week 12+ hour a day operation and is enough work to wear anyone down. But Susan always delivers her goods with a smile that is as warm and genuine as the baked goods she serves up.

Baked by Susan’s facility is located at the corner of Riverside drive and Benedict Ave is a key spot in the lower village.  The spot sees a lot of drive-by traffic from 9A and walking traffic from the train station.

As a location for the band, it’s perfect because it’s a family-friendly and in recent gigs, some young kids were found moving to the music and getting their first exposure to jam bands and music of the Grateful Dead.  Who knew that Croton had a jam band scene?  Thanks to Susan we have had one a few times this summer and we welcome new fans of the band and future Deadheads of America.

We offer our sincere thanks to Susan her family and staff for providing an excellent venue for the band. We recognize that hosting the band in the evening adds another few hours to an already long day, but fans of the band appreciate their support.

Please visit Baked by Susan and support them with your business!
